Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS, Maple Fingerboard – Sienna Sunburst

A combination of Custom Shop Fat 50’s single coil neck and middle pickups and a Diamondback humbucking bridge pickup offers a wide spectrum of tones suitable for all musical styles.

The use of bent-steel saddles, a high-mass bridge block, and a thinner finish topcoat all contribute to this model’s excellent resonance and persistence.

The neck feels quick and extremely comfortable thanks to the hand-rolled fingerboard edges and satin-finished back.

Among the new American Standard Stratocaster guitars, the HSS model is the standout, including a Diamondback humbucking pickup in the bridge position as well as Custom Shop Fat 50’s neck and middle pickups.

The S-1 switch has been removed to keep things simple and in addition we’ve kept key features like hand-rolled fingerboard edges, staggered tuning machines, as well as added several new ones, like an improved bridge with bent-steel saddles and a copper-infused high-mass block for increased resonance and sustain.

Additional characteristics include a tinted neck, a high-gloss maple or rosewood fingerboard, a satin-finished neck back, a thinner finish undercoat that allows the body to breathe and improves resonance, and a Fender-exclusive SKB molded case.
