While Oregon myrtlewood may be denser than Sitka spruce, it pairs with it to create guitars that fly past all others, surpassing the sound, tonal balance and richness of more traditional tonewood combinations. Our Sitka, from ancient stock, straight and true, is sustainably sourced. We never harvest these magnificent trees, but work with Alaska Specialty Woods to salvage blown down trunks, often nearly 600 years old, from the forest floor, contributing to the health of the biosphere while putting a supreme instrument in your hands.
